About the Role

As a Data Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for managing internal data and procuring external data to support the company’s goals and objectives. Your primary role will involve reviewing and analyzing current data strategies, creating more efficient, data-driven best practices, and collaborating with the team to develop innovative solutions that leverage advanced analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for managing internal data and procuring external data

  • Review and analyze current data strategies and management and create more efficient data driven best practices.

  • Has responsibility for mining and analyzing data from various internal and external data sources in support of company goals and objectives.

  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that leverage data and advanced analytics tools to solve sales and operational problems.

  • Uses data sets and models to test the effectiveness of different tactics of action using predictive algorithms and effectively uses data to communicate with stakeholders.

  • Actively directs and participates in training and data adoption activities.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience as a business or data analyst in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or another quantitative field.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Knowledge of real world application of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and/or statistical theory and methods (e.g., regression).

  • Independent research capabilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • 2+ years of experience procuring data sets from external sources

  • Ability to evaluate current data procedures and develop enhancements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders in a multitude of formats (e.g., oral, written, visual, etc.).

  • Any combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with advanced data analytics tools and software.

  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques and tools.

  • Experience in sales or operational data analysis.
